Rare groundhandling for an Ukrainian registered Antonov B12 at Bonriki International.

Equapac recently had the pleasure of groundhandling a rare sight at Bonriki International Tarawa Kiribati - an Antonov B12 flying from North America to the Western Pacific. The quad-prop aircraft was truly spectacular and we were thrilled to be a part of its journey.

Equapac and Morecroft complete removal of Asbestos contaminated material from Banaba Hospital and two schools. 

Banaba, known for phosphate mining in the mid-20th century, extensively used Asbestos Contaminated Materials in its buildings and infrastructure during that time. Equapac team has successfully removed 26 tonnes and 76 cubics of ACM from the abandoned Banaba general hospital and the elementary school, which is now scheduled to be disposed of in a licensed facility in New Zealand.

On the 27th of February 2024, Morecroft and the Equapac team departed from Tarawa to Banaba to remove ACM from the abandoned Hospital and junior secondary school. It is worth mentioning that the clean-up process has been supported by SPREP and MELAD in Kiribati, given the extensive use of asbestos by the British Phosphate commission, the former phosphate mining island administrator.

Pacific Games Charter for Team Kiribati

Equapac is proud to have been assigned by the government of Kiribati to organize a charter to bring 80 members of Team Kiribati home to Tarawa from Honiara. We are pleased to have partnered with Solomon Airlines, a long-time Equapac partner, using an Airbus A320. Congratulations to Team Kiribati for a job well done!

Bikenarara hosting the Retreat of Pacific Regional Fisheries Conference

Bikenarara was thrilled to host the retreat of Ministerial level Pacific Regional Fisheries meeting in September 2022. Bikennarara (pronounced Beacon-Na-RaRa) Resort continues to be a place for Ministerial retreats and workshops.

Flight to Pick-up MP's for the April 2022 Session and Form 7 Students to Tarawa

Another successful run to Kiritimati Island (Christmas Island) to pick up Form 7 students and returning Line and Phoenix Members of Parliament for April 2022 parliament session.

H.E Beretitienti Taneti Mamau and H.E Minister of MICTTD Tekeeua Tarati  and delegation to Kiritimati Island to inaugurate the Internet Marine Cable 

Equapac was successful in delivering the President of Kiribati and the Minister for Communication and Transport and their delegation to one of the remotest coral atolls in the world, Kiritimati (Christmas) island. The trip was to inaugurate the connection of the internet marine cable.

COVID Medical Supplies from Guangzhou to Tarawa from China Aid and the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Kiribati. 

Equapac with Solomon Airlines  managed the difficult logistics of delivering much-needed medical supplies in response to the Omicron virus outbreak in Kiribati. With over 55cbm of supplies arriving they were gratefully received by the Minister of Health and Medical Services and the Ambassador from the People's Republic of China in Kiribati.

Vaccine Delivery to Kiritimati (Christmas Island)

The crucial delivery of the Astra Zeneca Vaccine to Kiritimati Island in December 2021 was particularly timely as the first outbreak in Kiribati occurred a month later. Equapac is proud with the Ministry of Health to have successfully delivered the vaccines and other medical supplies and PPE's to the people of Kiritimati island.
